Bertie subs for Des | Print |  Email
Sunday, 24 August 2008

Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern made his debut as a TV presenter during the week when he stood in for Des Cahill on "The Road to Croker"; Des was in Beijing for the Olympics. The programme was recorded in Páidí Ó Sé's pub in Ventry, Co. Kerry, a venue in which he was always going to feel comfortable. By all accounts he did a reasonable job without causing Des Cahill any worries about his future in the role.
