Wednesday, 10 December 2008

ait.jpgA two-year programme in Athlone Institute of Technology, launched this week and funded by Fáilte Ireland, will aim to identify research themes that will generate tourist industry surveys, articles and project proposals. The pilot scheme to promote business-relevant tourism research, is also designed to benefit the teaching of tourism and hospitality at third level. Two internal AIT coordinators have been appointed to the scheme, which will also benefit from the mentoring and support of academics in Irish and British universities.
