AERONAUTICAL RADIO OFFICERS
The Irish Aviation Authority, a state company responsible for the provision and regulation of Air Navigation Services in Ireland, has a number of vacancies for Aeronautical Radio Officers.

Entry Requirements
You must have passed at least five subjects in the Leaving Certificate (Mathematics essential) with a minimum of Grade C in at least two Higher Level Papers. An equivalent Second Level qualification is acceptable or an equivalent or higher Third level qualification is also acceptable provided that the applicant has passed Mathematics.

English Language proficiency is essential.

Training
Successful applicants will undergo a training programme of approximately 12 months duration, at the Aeronautical Communications facility at Ballygirreen, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Co. Clare.

Trainee Aeronautical Radio Officers will be paid an allowance of €18,969 per annum during training.

Post Training
Those who successfully complete the training programme will be offered appointment as Aeronautical Radio Officers,

The salary for Aeronautical Radio Officers will commence at $37,202 rising incrementally to $61,743.

Aeronautical Radio Officers work a 24 hour shift pattern for which a shift premium of 27% is paid.
