All this week Trinity College Dublin is holding its Irish language festsival, "Eigse na Tríonóide" with a programme of sport, concerts, tours, workshops, music and song. The festival was formally launched on Tuesday and interviews for the Fáinne took place the following day. Other events include a football match between Cumann Gaelach and the GAA; a Philosophical Society debate on Irish in the education system; and, for the first time, events that will bring together staff and students to celebrate the language.
