Efforts continue to free GOAL aid workers Sharon Commins (32) from Dublin and Hilda Kawuki (42) from Uganda, who were kidnapped in Sudan more than three weeks ago. GOAL chief executive John O'Shea thanked the Irish people for their support and assured them that "The Irish Government, the Sudanese Government and GOAL are working around the clock in Sudan trying to secure the release of Sharon and Hilda".

Contact has been made with the kidnappers and the two women and both are in good health.
