Online campaign promotes Robinson for EU president |

Michael Farrell, a member of the Irish Human Rights Commission, has initiated an online campaign to have former president Mary Robinson considered for the post of president of the European Union. The post will come into effect when the Lisbon Treaty has been ratified and it is expected to be filled by a former premier of an EU country. Among others being mentioned for the post is former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
