A past pupils' reunion took place last weekend in Kildavin to mark the school's fiftieth anniversary, with a Mass in St Lazarian's Church followed by the ceremony of cutting the cake in Conway's pub. The organising committee for the event comprised Mary Murphy, Anne-Marie Gerardi, Carmel Gibson, Luke Hayden and Enda Smyth and they laid on an exhibition of old photographs and memorabilia in the school. The current church car park was the site of the original two-storey school and the present school was built in 1959 though it was totally refurbished three years ago.
