While both men were known to gardaí, neither is a member of Limerick's feuding criminal gangs.
On Thursday Anthony Kelly (49), of O’Malley Park, appeared in court charged with possession of a handgun with intent to endanger life. The accused is the brother of Michael Kelly who, despite his criminal leanings, was elected to Limerick City Council in 1999. He died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head in 2004. |
