McManus donations top €17.3m |

Accounts with the Companies Registration Office have shown that the charitable foundation set up by JP McManus made donations totalling more than €17.3 million over the period 2006-2008, with more than €3m going to charities in his own county of Limerick. Among the donations last year were €6.3m to the All-Ireland Scholarship Fund and €2m to the Paddy Harrington golf scholarships, set up in honour of the late father of golfer Pádraig Harrington.
