U2 have been signed up as the headline act at next year’s Glastonbury Festival in England. They will fly in from the US, where they will be on tour, to appear on the opening night, Friday, June 25. All 177,000 tickets, for what is the 40th anniversary of the Glastonbury Festival, were sold in October before the headline act had been named.
