At the National Children of Courage Awards held in Limerick last weekend the youngest recipient was two-year-old Emily Ann Daly from Croom. Emily Ann was born with cystic hygroma and vascular malformation which required a tracheotomy and means that she has to be fed through a tube. Her parents Mike and Caroline and brothers Colin and Conor were with her as she was presented with her award and, along with the other seven recipients, she visited President Mary McAleese earlier this week. Following this all eight, plus their families, set off for a holiday in Disneyworld.
