Police car involved in fatal accident in Co. Antrim | Print |  Email

David McKee (19), from Coleraine, Co. Derry, was killed at around 4:00am on Thursday when the car in which he was a passenger was struck by a police car on the Ballybogey Road, between Ballymoney and Portrush in Co. Antrim. The 29-year-old driver of the car was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

According to media reports police had earlier been monitoring the movement of the Renault Clio but that the vehicle was stationary and parked sideways across the road when the accident happened.

On  Monday Michael Dickson, a father of one from Broughshane, Co. Antrim, died when his car collided with a truck on the road between Enniskillen and Irvinestown in Co. Fermanagh.
