John Stewart (45), of Maghera, and Paul Johnston (23), from Castledawson, denied the charge of murder but pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Ronald Mackie in July 2006. Mr Mackie, from Scotland, was attacked by a gang following a parade by the Sons of William Flute Band near Magherafelt and was left lying in the middle of the road where he was run over by a car.
Two other men, Thomas Colgan (33) and Dean Milligan (21), also from Maghera, pleaded guilty to making an affray and all four were released on bail pending pre-sentence probation reports.
