The Irish News reports that a court in Texas has jailed Susan Moore (59) for nine years after she was found guilty of the intoxication manslaughter of Eileen McGurk (39) in a road accident in Texas in September 2007. Ms McGurk was from Twinbrook in Belfast and on holiday with her husband and two friends at the time.

Moore was also convicted of the intoxication assault on Patrick McAteer (58), from Andersonstown, who lost an arm in the crash.
