UU Framework document on equality in workplace

A document called the Equity, Diversity and Interdependence Framework, developed by the University of Ulster and Counteract, was launched at the Ormeau Baths Gallery in Belfast this week. The document, which has been compiled by Derick Wilson, Karen Eyben and Duncan Morrow from the university's Future Ways Programme, provides practical guidelines aimed at improving the quality of relationships in the workplace by underpinning the importance of fairness while acknowledging the differences that exist between people in Northern Ireland. The Equity, Diversity and Interdependence Framework is a charitably supported initiative based in the University of Ulster while Counteract, an anti-intimidation unit, was formed in 1990 with the sponsorship and support of the Irish Congress of Trade Union.
