________ The Irish Rugby Writers' Association has named Munster and Ireland second-row Paul O'Connell as player of the year for the 2005-06 season. Munster have been named as the team of the year following their Heineken European Cup success, while Shannon were named as club of the year after winning the All-Ireland division one league. Former Irish Lions Willie John McBride and Mick Molloy were elevated to the Hall of Fame. |
